Fishing Report for Inshore, Nearshore, & Offshore.
This week fishing has been a bit tougher, but it still has been good for Snook, Trout, Snapper, Flounder, Tripletail, Jacks, Ladyfish, Bluefish, Mackerel, & more. Fishing grass flats for 2-6′ of water have been good for Trout, Snook, & reds. fishing structure has been producing Snapper, Flounder, Sheepshead, & Tripletail. Jacks ladyfish & blues have been roaming the open waters. Just look for surface action and cast a artificial bait into the mix for desired results. After this wind lays down expect more activity in the indian river. Fishing near the power plant has been good for Trout, & reds lately. Closer to our inlets expect pompano, blues, Flounder and a few residual Tarpon.
Fishing nearshore this week has been hard due to high winds & surf advisories, but later in the week the winds & swell will reside and action will be good. Snapper, Blues, Jacks, MAckerel are a common occurrence nearshore late October & November. Fishing lures, live bait and dead chunk baits will be the ticket this month on any nearshore reefs & or wrecks. Lock & load because the action is steady all day long.
Fishing offshore has been great, although the seas are a bit rougher on average this time of year. Fishing will be great for Mahi, Snapper, Sailfish, Tuna, Kingfish, Barracuda, Wahoo, Cobia, and occasional Grouper as well. Trolling will produce Cobia, Sailfish, Mahi, Kingfish, Cudas, & more. Bottom fishing deeper reefs & wrecks will yield larger Snapper & Grouper. Expect lots of sharks as well. Smaller atlantic sharpnose sharks are abundant this time of year. Great fighters but can become burdensome after about 15 or 20… all & all nearshore and offshore is a go to if conditions allow during fall & winter months.
