Fishing has been really steady this week new moon has the fish in a feeding frenzy. Lots of Snook, Jack, Grouper & Snapper are feeding on live baits during daylight hrs all day long. Snook fishing will continue to be excellent right up until the end of season wich is until May 31 at 12 midnight. Keeper fish are in a small slot 28″- 32″ please rember to handle these fish with care during months when Snook are out of season. Summer is the major spawn so releasing these fish back healthy is a must to protect our resource. Try realsing fish boatside & always have a dehooker on your boat.
Fishing has been slow but should heat up this week if we can get some warmer water to push nearshore. Once the warm water moves inshore expect lots of Permit, Cobia, Kingfish, & big Bruiser Jack Crevelles. Sight fishing nearshore during may june july & august is some of my favorite fishing here in Stuart, FL on the Mayhem.
Mahi bite has really picked up over the past few days. Fish are being brought back to the dock every trip & expect some of these fish to go 30 lbs or more during the May Mahi run. Some sailfish are being caught during these trolling trips as well. you can also expect a cobia, Blackfins, Sharks, Bonita, & Smoker Kingfish.
