April Fishing Report for Stuart, FL

Snook and Jacks will be the main focus. Many larger Snook will be showing up this month until Sept. Jacks will also be larger on average. 10-15 lbs is a common size and the occasional 30-40lbers will be caught during spring months. Slot Snook size is 28″- 32″. can keep these fish until or before June 1.

Cobia is our main focus. lots of smaller kings around as well. Smaller snapper, grouper, & triggerfish can be taken bottom fishing nearshore. Permit are also around if you know where to look for them. Big jacks roaming the beaches this week in great numbers.

Trolling has been a tad slow. Sailfish, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and a few mahi trolling the past few weeks. Bottom fishing has been ok to make up for slow trolling. Mahi should start to show up in good numbers any day now. cant wait to hammer down on some big April Mahi.

Tight Lines,
Capt. Jonathan
