Fishing this week has been excellent for large snook near our inlets as the late summer spawn continues. Catch & release only until September when we can resume targeting snook to take home to eat. Penty of jacks, tarpon, snapper, and the occasional redfish mixed in while live bait fishing in the river systems or along the local beaches.

Sailfishing has been hit r miss this week. Few mahi are being caught around 160′ depths along with lots of bonita. Slow trolling live bait will be your best bet for august. As we get closer to September live bait will become harder & harder to acquire, so take advantage while you can. Bottom fishing remains steady for large amberjacks, snapper, cobia, triggerfish, torros, & kingfish. Kingfish can also be taken using surface rods, free lining live or dead sardines while bottom fishing for added diversity to you fix box catch.
