Fishing this week has been excellent for Tripletail, sheepshead, black drum, redfish and even a few snook. Fishing structure is key for larger bottom feeders this month with cooler water temps. Some pompano have showed up and we are catching them while drift fishing local sand flats. Expect plenty of ladyfish, bonefish, bluefish and jack crevelles in between pompano bites. Nearshore fishing has been stellar for spanish mackerel and snappers on nearshore wrecks and reefs. I have been seeing a few resident tarpon further up river and they have been biting artificial lures early morning and late afternoons.
